Sarah Catharine Paulson (born December 17 1974) is an American actress from the United States. She has been awarded numerous awards, including the Primetime Emmy Award and a Golden Globe Award. Time magazine named her one the top 100 artists of the world in 2017. Her popularity grew during the 1990s due to her appearance in TV series like 'Law & Order' and 'American Gothic'. Her performances on popular TV shows like "American Horror Story," "Strip and Game Change' were some of her best-known. Paulson also has appeared in a handful of films. She was in a supporting role in the cult drama film '12 Years a Slave'. It was a huge hit and was awarded three Oscars. She also played a significant role in the romantic drama "Carol," that was also a major success and garnered six Oscar nominations. Sarah Paulson was a variety of characters in seven seasons of "American Horror Story" which is a horror show that loosely takes inspiration from true historical events. Paulson is also one of the three actors to have played in all seasons thus far. The show was a huge success and received positive reviews from critics. Paulson received four nominations for the Emmy Awards for her performance. Sarah Paulson is bisexual. She was once engaged to playwright Tracy Letts. She was a lover of Cherry Jones between 2004 and 2009, following their engagement was broken. Since then, she has been in a relationship with actor Holland Taylor, who is younger than her by 32 years.

She is famous for her tenure as co-anchor of Good Morning America Weekend from 2014 to 2018 as well as being co-host of The View from 2015 to 2018.
