Rochon was born from Torrance (a suburb of Los Angeles), is the daughter Zelma Staples. Her parents are Samuel Staples a graphic designer and businessman. Cerritos high school in Cerritos is where she graduated from. She earned a bachelor of arts in broadcast journalism in 1986 from California State University Dominguez (CSUDH). Ullerup appeared as Julia Brynn for the first time on Battlestar Galactica: The Remake which aired in 2006 Sci Fi Channel. In the initial two seasons on Sanctuary, she played Ashley Magnus until the character was deleted. People were angry over her departure, and many would like to see her back in the next episodes. The show ended 2012 but not without there was a heated debate. Ullerup was on the show Chesapeake Shores as Bree O'Brien. Ullerup played Maggie Thomas the estranged husband of Michael Thomas. Ullerup was Dale Travers, a recurring role in Hallmark's Signed, Sealed, Delivered films from 2016 until present.
